Dr. O'Keefe, DVM
VeterinarianOriginally from southwestern Missouri, Dr. O’Keefe is a graduate of the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. She was raised on a hobby beef farm and quickly figured out she would rather care for the barn cats than the cattle. Following veterinary school, Dr. O’Keefe decided it was time to escape the humidity of the Midwest and move to Montana. Dr. O’Keefe is Fear Free certified and proud to provide your pet with the best quality care while under her watch. Her professional interests include cardiology, internal medicine, and surgery. In her spare time, you can find Dr. O’Keefe spending time with her husband, their two dogs, Beatrix and Brody, and their three cats Cappie, Django, and Mario.
VeterinarianMy interest in veterinary medicine started at about age 14 while growing up in a suburb of Chicago. Even at that early age I knew I wanted to live in Montana and be a vet. I finished high school in Illinois then went west for college. While at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah I found the other loves of my life; Caren, my wife, and fly fishing. After graduating from BYU with a degree in Animal Science our little family which now consisted of me, Caren and our son Andrew moved back to Illinois. I attended veterinary school at the University of Illinois in Champaign/Urbana, Illinois and graduated in 2000. While in Illinois, we added another son, Mitchell, to our family. After completion of vet school, I accepted my first job in Billings MT working for Dr. Ed Jorden at Moore Lane Vet Hospital. We loved living in Montana and obviously decided this is where we wanted to stay, so here we are. Montana for me is full of things I love: my family which now consists of Caren and 5 kids (Andrew, Mitchell, Avery, Callum, and Bronwyn) and 2 Brittany Spaniels (Amber and Ella), and all the outdoor activities Montana has to offer. I love to go fishing or bird hunting with my family and friends every chance I get. In fact, if I’m not in the office I’m probably fishing, camping, hunting, gardening or watching one of my kid’s soccer games. Montana offers a great quality of life.
Pets: Katie and Timothy
Lisa became our new veterinary assistant in August of 2014 after 5 years of working as our receptionist and we are very happy to have her in this new position.
Lisa proves herself to be available to cover any position in the clinic from vet assisting to boarding to a receptionist. Whatever position needs to be filled on a given day we can count on Lisa to be our “go to” girl.
Because she married a military man, Lisa has had the opportunity to live in a variety of places and was able to pursue her education in veterinary science through both the North American College in England as well as the University of Maryland.
Lisa has been married to her husband, Terry a retired lieutenant colonel with the Air Force, since 1986. They always knew they wanted to settle in Montana upon his retirement and so they have now for the past several years. Together they are raising their 3 children, two boys and one girl and their cat Timothy and dog Katie
Lisa loves her job here at Skyview because of the constant diversity and her commitment to do any job well. She is committed to providing only the finest care and helpfulness to our clients. She truly enjoys all her coworkers and is always available to help with whatever task needs to be done. She says she found her “dream job” here with us at Skyview Hospital.
Bonnie has been in the business of grooming dogs and cats for 30+ years and has been a part of the Skyview Staff for over 5 years.
As a lover of all things in the ranching life, Bonnie shares her 320-acre property just outside of Roundup with 10 horses, 2 dogs, “too many” cats and a number of chickens.
Originally from Minnesota, Bonnie has been in Mt for over 11 years. She starts every day bright and early to care for all of her personal animals and still manages to make it here by 7 am to put in a long day of grooming.
Bonnie has a talent for grooming that is truly amazing. We encourage anyone who is interested in a new groomer to give us a call to get Bonnie to work her magic.
